sesamoid ligament

Question
can a trotting horse fully recover from a strained sesamoid ligament with a descent spell

Answer
hi , if the problem is in the back leg, it seems to heal better . if it is in the front leg then it is more troublesom. i would rest the horse for 12 months for this problem.. a lazer treatment will help heal the ligament too.i used lazer on the thoroughbreds all the time, and it helps a great deal.  thanks hope this helps you  thanks ED HESS
