week before half marathon knee injury

Question
I've been training for a half marathon the last two months,I've been up to about 25 miles a week. I started to taper this week and ran 7 miles.I then went home and played with my daughter, while crawling my knee rolled and my knee cap popped out partially and right back into place. A little sore, I haven't ran in three days. Half marathon is three days away. Help! Should I get in a short run tomorrow and then rest. Any chance it will pop out when i run? Just a bit confused on what action to take
Thanks!

Answer
Hi Heather
I wouldn't bother to run. When you start the race just go real easy in the first 3 miles and let yourself get into a nice comfortable rhythm. You will probably have your answer with in that span of time. You can always drop out if you feel you have some problems with your knee.Hope this helps Heather and good luck.I would love to know how you do if you can drop me a note even if you drop out.

All the best
to you

John
