Question
My boyfriend runs upwards of 3 miles 5 times a week and though I'm very proud of his dedication I often worry about him. How many extra calories should he be taking in?  Should he be drinking something to make up for lost electrolytes?

Answer
Hi Tia
I really wouldn't worry since that is really not excessive. As long as he maintains a good healthy well balanced diet of protein, carbs and the good fats like olive oil, flaxseed, plenty of fruits and vegetables.A good diet will take care of the electrolytes. If you have other questions just get in touch Tia.

All the best

John
