Jogging for health

Question
I am (was) a very athletic female.  I am 28 years old and have one child.  I played basketball all through college and was in very good shape.  Since 1999 I have done little or nothing about my fitness.  I am not overweight and really only could stand to lose 10 pounds.  What I'm really wanting to do is tone myself back up and get the old feeling back.  The after workout feeling and the confidence back.  I'm interested in jogging but really don't know how to get started.  I've started jogging 12 min this week and have done ok.  The place where I jog is slightly on a hill.  It takes about 12 min. to run up and down twice.  I was looking for some beginning tips and advice for staying in for the long haul.  Thanks.  Angie

Answer
Angie,
That is great that you have started to jog.  I would encourage you to work up to 15 minutes.  Then keep working up.  Don't settle for the same thing.  Watch your diet and keep exercising (3-4 days a week is great).  You can even get into a basketball league to play a little and get in shape that way.
Best of luck.  If you have any other questions feel free to follow up.
