Possible scholarship

Question
Hi I am currently a sophomore high school rower on the port side. I am 6'2 and 188 pounds and I recently pulled a 6:33 2k. My gpa is a 3.6 and I would like to know if I have a chance of getting a rowing scholarship to college

Answer
Hi Ben: Your erg time is in the Top-10% for rowers you age.  That will get a coach's attention.  You might need some more race experience and a few medals to prove that you can row as well on the water as you do on the erg (some can't).  Your SAT scores will also factor in.

Overall, I'd say you have a good chance.

Good Luck/AP
