Compression gear for rowing.

Question
Hi,

I was wondering whether buying compression gear, specifically L/S tops, would be beneficial to OTW training or post-row recovery.  Could we also use it on the erg, or would you overheat because of poor ventilation indoors?

Answer
Hi Richard: I don't use compression gear myself, but I read a little about it.  It seems like it has some value-added, like reducing lactic-acid buildup, and focusing muscle power.  According to the literature, the compression gear wicks moisture well, so I guess it's okay to use in a hot indoor environment.

Of course, I used to train in an old white undershirt and cut-off sweat pants and that worked okay too.

Bottom Line: Wouldn't Hurt.
