age and value of winchester 101

2016/7/22 9:19:53

Question
I have a Winchester model 101 serial number is 60298 and I am curious to know the age and value of the gun. It is made in Japan and I would also like to know how many of them or if all of the 101's were made in Japan?
Thanks
Ian

Answer
Your 101 was manufactured in 1963 and to the best of my knowledge all were made in Japan.

There are 8 different models that were available over the years all with differing retail values however, the most common being a field grade if in "Very Good" condition has an approximate retail value of $700 to $800.

Thank you for the question.
