Question
I have a Stevens model 67 e series pump 12 gauge. When was it made and the value of it? It is like new and operates rael well.

Answer
Ronald,

I cannot tell you the exact mfg. date of your particular firearm based upon the information provided. Also, many of Steve's records on these guns are no longer available either.

The model 67 was but one of many utility grade slide action shotguns manufactured by Stevens. They were chambered for various gauges and in various barrel lengths/chokes. The finishes are blue with walnut stocks.

The M-67 in "good" condition has an approximate retail value of $125.

Ronald,

I'm sorry that you were less than satisfied with the information that I provided you. Determining the exact manufacturing date of a Stevens/Savage is rather difficult due to lost company records.

Many people would have just given you a guess and left it at that. Which I prefer not to do. If I were pressed to respond with some kind of educated guess I'd say it was a product of the 1950's or early 60's based upon past research.

Please keep in mind that this is a volunteer service and as such I cannot spend hours researching manufacture dates that are not readily retrievable. I answer dozens of questions a week and do so with the best information that is available. I do not do homework questions. I simply do not have the time. You can/could do that research yourself anyway.

If you were to have contacted Savage/Stevens for the exact same information they would NOT have provided it to you either. In fact they stopped providing this info long ago due to the same reasons that I've outlined above.

There is an independent Savage/Stevens historian that the company may have referred you to that may have been able to provide you with more accurate D.O.M. However, there is a fee for that service. If you are interested in paying for an answer to this question and want to assure the exact year of manufacture I'd suggest contacting Savage and obtaining the contact information for the above mentioned historian. I'm sure he will be glad to research your question, take your money, and provide you with an answer.

The information that I provided you concerning retail value is directly extracted from the blue book. So, I'm not sure what if any problem there was with that portion of my response.

If I can do anything more for you just ask, and I'll give you my best/honest response. Keep in mind that you can obtain a better D.O.M from the paid source which is your prerogatived. However please keep in mind that the answer that you obtained from me is worth at least what you paid for it !

Good luck with that.
