12 ga. single shot

2016/7/22 9:20:47

Question
Hello Bob, I have a single shot 12ga that belonged to my wifes great grandfather. I can clearly read The Cresent FireArms Co. Norwich,Conn. Ican also read ****15 Empire Ejector. It appears that something is before the 15 but cannot read it. The serial numbers on the barrel and under side of receiver portion reads 751638. I would like to know more about the gun and can you still get replacement parts and where?

Answer
Hi Brian.

The following link is for an article which explains a lot about your shotgun including some notes about value (generally low) and the difficulty of finding parts (usually not available):

http://www.briley.com/articles/grampas_shotgun.html

If you want to spend $10 to check the specific value for your shotgun then you can check out this site:

https://store.bluebookinc.com/download/SalesPage.aspx?product=GUN&id=265

In case you still need more info then try using this search link which will take you to lots of other sites:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=crescent+new+empire+shotgun

Hope this helps.

Bob
