safari 243 heavy or medium heavy

Jim, i have recently bought a safari 243 model z 1973 sako action rifle. i know it is a 24 inch barrel but i don't know if its a heavy or medium heavy. can you help me tell the difference? i will get you specific measurements when you tell me where you want them measured from..thanks Jeff

As far as I know, Browning only made a pencil and heavy/sporter barrel. The heavy barrel isn't what we would consider a heavy barrel by todays standard. If you could take a couple good photos and send them to me I will try to help you more. The pencil barrels are pretty small in circumference.
