Inline vs Quad

Question
Hi! as the title says, i don磘 know which type of skae to buy, because i would like to practice outdoors and walk around, but as soon as i feel comfortable on the skates, i will, almost for sure, join a rink hockey club (i磀 prefer ice hockey, but here in portugal the tradition is rink hockey), so resuming, which is better, start with inline so im able to practice outdoors and then change to quads for hockey, or start now with the quads, even with the inconvenience of practicing outdoors with quads, but when i get to hockey, it will be all easy and simple (or just better) in the skating part? thank you very much :)5

Answer
Hi Joao,
I didn't realize that hockey was played with quads.  Over here in the US hockey teams use inlines as far as I know.

What you might want to do, to save money, is get the skates that you would use for hockey but buy extra outdoor wheels so you can practice outside until you're ready to try out for the hockey team.

If you learn on inlines then have to switch to quads it will be like learning all over again.    The outdoor wheels are fine for practicing outside so I would suggest you do that.

Good Luck.......I hope it works out for you.  If there's anything else I can help with, feel free to write again.
