Brake

Question
QUESTION: I am a beginner to inline skating and any form of skating. Can you change the brake of your skate? Mine is half way through.
Thanks, John.

ANSWER: John,
Changing the brake is a simple matter requiring a couple of simple tools.
My recommendation is to take your inlines in to a skate shop (if you bought them in a store - go there) - it should take them less than 5 minutes. Ask to watch the procedure & you will have no problem doing it in the future. The necessary  allen wrench(es) probably came with your skates - a little L shaped hex tool.

QUESTION: Hello Lezly.
When I take my skates to the shop, will they provide me with brakes or do I have to buy it myself?
There wasn't an extra brake in the box and also there was no wrench.
By the way, I live in Australia.
John.

Answer
John,
The shop should have brakes which you can buy & they should install it for you at no extra charge.
I wouldn't expect there to be an extra brake in the box, but it does surprise me that there was no tool.
If by some chance (which I doubt) they don't carry spare brakes - go on line & contact the manufacturer. Very unlikely though, that the shop wouldn't have a brake. Good luck mate!!...........Lezly
