Safety Concerns

2016/7/21 18:00:15

Question
I've never used in-line skates and I'm concerned if I blade outdoors that any small pebble or twig will stop me cold and send me flying.  How large does an object have to be to cause you problems?

Thanks for your help.

Renee

Answer
Hi Renee
I think you're pretty safe with inlines for outdoor use.  Because the wheel is thin and somewhat angled, most pebbles will be tossed to the side of the skate should you hit one.  Unless you hit something major it's not a problem.   You will easily roll over small twigs, just avoid anything of substancial size and you'll be fine.

Have fun and enjoy your skating.
