Question
Hi

I have only just stated skating and i screwed up my bearings past repair and i need to but some new ones im looking at abec 7's cause thats what im on at the moment but do i need more than one bearing per skate.  Like do i need an 8 box of bearings for 1 skate or will it do for 2 skates (my skates have 4 wheels each).

Thanx in advance
Byron

Answer
Each wheel needs two sets of bearings, so to repair both sets of skates you would need 16 bearings.  Different skates have different mounting mechanisms.  Mine have aluminum "spacers" and a bearing goes on each side.  Typically I put one bearing on one side of the wheel, then from the other side insert the spacer, and then put on the other bearing on the other side.
