Question
Hi Lisa,

I am a ski instructor and am in Switzerland for a holiday at the moment.  I was once told that instructors are eligible for discounted tickets at other resorts - do you know anything about that?
cheers

Answer
hi and thanks for the question.

I believe there used to be an agreement like that.
From memory you needed to show identification that you have
international level qualification [Australian level 2, Canadian level 3, US level ?2 and so on] as a ski or snowboard instructor. Im unsure of the requirements for telemark and cross country qualifications.

Basically you are providing them with a certificate so they can put the onus back on you for behaviour and safety issues that may arise.

Sorry but im not sure which resprts are offering it - maybe ask around. You may also need a letter from your resort stating your employment.

Hope you are able to find a ticket or two to enjoy some great ski days.
