HiFly 300 universal joint (broken tendon)

Question
Hi!
I was reading your response to a question about a HiFly 300 posted back in 2009.  I have the same issue and have searched around a bit for the same part with no luck so far.  When I broke mine, I also ended up breaking the rigging "clip," so I'm looking for that too.  I'm just wondering if you have heard of anywhere else that these parts may be available or is there maybe another solution?
Thanks for your time.

Answer
Hey Paul,

If you broke the rigging clip along with the base, then you will need to convert your movable mast track to a fixed position track. You just set it where you want it for the days' conditions.

Go here;  http://www.chinooksailing.com/products/index.php?cPath=2_76  and order a Mistral slider nut.

This will work with this base;  http://www.chinooksailing.com/products/product_info.php?products_id=109

Remove your mast track and remove all the internal parts. Insert the slider nut and replace the plastic end pieces on the track. Then reinstall the track into your board. It is a good idea to put a little silicone sealer into the screw holes. Now you have a fixed position mast base.

Hope this helps.
Keep on sailing,
Windlover
