windusrfer u joint

Question
Hey Windlover,
Really appreciate what you do, thanks. I just bought an old Marlin 737 windsurfer and the long rubber tendon is broken. It must have been a common item as I had an Obrien with a similar unit. It was about 6" long with a bulb head on each end. Are these still available, or will a new universal joint fit? If, so, where do I look.
Thanks again,
Frogman

Answer
Hey Frogman,

Here is a place that has two types of u-joints. The hourglass type and the tendon type. Hopefully you will be able to make one or the other work as finding one that matches your old one will be nearly impossible.

Hope this helps.
Keep on sailing,
Windlover
