Pain on the top of my foot

2016/7/21 18:02:34

Question
Hi, I have been walking and over a three week period I have worked my track walking up to 3 1/2 miles in 70 min 6 days a week. The last week, the top of my foot has started to hurt when I walk. I have a good pair of walking shoes. New Balance 844. Any sugestions? I have made an appointment with DR.
Thanks, Rita

Answer
A doctor sounds like a good idea. It may only be tendonitis, requiring you to back off your mileage for a while. But it could be more serious so it is good to check it out.

An MD is likely to give you pain killers and tell you to stop walking. If that happens, I suggest you consult a good chiropractor, who will treat you without drugs.
