Bottom painting license

2016/7/15 18:24:58

Question
I was wondering if someone needed a boating license or a bottom boat painting license or any specific type of license, for that matter, to try to start your own business of bottom boat painting?? if yes, what is it called and how could i get one??

Answer
If you are using antifouling paint some states consider that a pesticide and have licensing requirements.  You may want to check with your state department that oversees pesticides.  If you use a Teflon type antifouling no pesticides are contained and you should have no problem.  You can go to www.boat-bottom-paint.com for information.
