Gel coat or paint

I have a 23ft ski boat that i take to the lake alot,when i bring it to shore the front V rubs against sand and is wearing away the paint and gel coat whats the easiest way to fix yet not to costly

You could put a fiberglass cloth overlay for the ware area for extra strength but it would look like an overlay.  White Gel coat or bottom paint could blend it in.  But I would just use 3 Coats of a hard urethane bottom paint over the ware area to protect the remaining finish.
