2016/7/15 18:28:33

Question
I put 50:1 fuel in my 10hp mariner which should have been 100:1 my engine was popping when I exelirated would this have caused the problem what do I do now and would it have caused any damage

Answer
Hi Al...Thank you for selecting the undersigned to reply to your question.

I'm not a mechanic, but extra oil mixed once in a while with the fuel won't hurt engines. In fact, it actually helps to lubricate them better. The only drawback is the smoke and some buildup of carbon, however, it will eventually burn off and leave everything clean.
