Question
hello sir. why do we use eggbutt bits on racehorses? what is the purpose of them?

Answer
HI  WELL, WHEN YOU HAVE A DIFFICULT HORSE TO TRAIN, YOU GO THROUGH LOTS OF DIFFERENT TYPES OF EQUIPMENT, SO THIS PARTICULAR TYPE OF BIT MAY HELP SOME HORSES. KIND OF FILLS THE MOUTH AND MAKES THE HORSE FEEL LIKE HE HAS A LOT OF CONTROL IN HIS MOUTH. ALWAYS TRY THE LEAST CONTROLING BIT AT FIRST, THEN GO TO THE NEXT TYPE TILL YOU FIND OUT WHICH WILL FIT YOUR HORSE THE BEST.  THANKS ed hess
