cooling a horse

2016/7/15 11:23:54

Question
hello sir, how come horse legs are cooled out when we hand walk them

Answer
hi-- a horse has no sweat glands from the knees down to the feet. when you have swelling in the legs you always try to cool out the legs with either a leg tightener or a leg sweat, so that you can get the filling out of the legs. they will usually always feel cool to the touch unless you have some problem in the legs. a basic leg tighter is a alcohol rub.  thanks ED HESS
