colts weight more than fillies

Question
hello sir, may i know why colts weigh more than fillies??

Answer
hi usually the male in any animal will weigh more then the female. in race horses that fact is usually true. a colt will be bigger, have more mussel, and mass. just take a look at some colts and then take a look at some fillies and you will see quite a difference. thanks Ed Hess
