horse lips pinched

Hello sir, how does a rider or the handler get to know that the horse lip corners are being pinched by loose ring snaffle??

hi-- i usually use a rubber d bit with the extra rubber attachments to keep the horses corners of their mouths  from being pinched. always remember not to tightened the noseband too tight, as that will pinch the corners of the  horses mouth..  hope this helps.  thanks ED HESS
