Question
My daughter and I just took the a weekend course at Joshua Tree (we are in Parker). We're going to be bouldering a lot for the time being, as she is 9, and a whopping 54lbs.... a bit too small to belay me. I need to tell Santa what the best shoes are to get us. What to look for. And given that Santa will be in the Phoenix metro area on Monday, where to go to get them. He will be going to Deer Valley HS via the 10 and 101.

Also, is there a good gym near where we'll be so she can climb some and I can cement my belaying and knots in memory.

I hope you see this before Monday. Thanks. ;-)

Answer
Scott,

Sorry I didn't get a reply to you before Monday. However, if you do get this message, please feel free to contact me for any climbing information on the phone. I am in Tucson and would love to chat.

Thanks,
