Question
What's the best advice you can give a newcomer of rock climbing?

thanks, I appreciate it.

Answer
Dear Marlon, here's my shot at "best advice." Climbing is more like a martial art than a traditional sport. It constantly entails exposure to death, but it pushes the participant and makes you dig deep into yourself.  Don't every kid yourself that it is "safe."  It is safe only so long as you are eternally vigilant.
