Question
what percentage of climbing accidents are done by beginers, intermediate climbers and advanced climbers?
are serious accidents ussualy due to inexperience a lack of proper knowedge on how equipment is used or a failure of equipment?

Dear James:  The American Alpine Club publishes stats. on accidents every year in its Accidents in North American Mountaineering volumn.
