Double barrel Fox

2016/7/22 9:21:39

Question
My dad has an doulble barrel fox shotgun. His great grandfather sent it to fox and had it converted to a single trigger. Did that bring the value down or raise it?

Answer
Hi John,

Generally speaking, any modifications that alters "factory original" will decrease the retail value. However, if he plans on keeping/using it and personally likes the modification, what does it matter? He will enjoy it either way and didn't lose a cent since he doesn't plan on selling it anyway.

I think this issue may not be as large of one as it could have been had the modification not been done by the factory.

Thanks for the question.
