Mossberg 183D-D .410 Shotgun: Manufacturing Dates & Value
Question
I have a older Mossberg .410, bolt action, 3 shot, with an screw on modified choke, made in New Haven, Connecticut, model 183D-D, can you tell me anything about it?
Answer
Nathan,
Your Mossberg .410 model 183D-D was manufactured between 1956 and 1960. It is a three shot take-down shotgun that was chambered for 2.5" and 3" .410 shells. It has a two shell fixed top loading magazine and weighs 5.5lbs with a 23" barrel. It also was available with a two choke screw-on system.
The gun in "good" condition has an approximate retail value of $75.
Thanks for the question Nathan.
