weight to litre of board

Question
Hi
just moved to Corfu and fancied taking up windsurfing again.
Its been 6 years since last time and was just getting to stage of doing some turns pointing the sail forward and spinning the sail around. Anyway i now weigh 16 stone (not of fat ) im a solid stocky bloke and wanted to know what litre board would be ideal, also i haven't got a huge budget so would have to source second hand gear etc. , Any advice would be much appreciated Many thanks Paul.

Answer
Hey Paul,

If you are still in the beginner/low intermediate stages, you should look for something around 160-180ltr that has a daggerboard. If you are past the beginner stages and feel confident that you can sail without a daggerboard, then look for a board around 145-160ltr. On the lower end it may be a bit more work but you would grow into the board instead of outgrowing the board.

Hope this helps.
Keep on sailing,
Windlover
