is it the sire or the dam?

2016/7/15 11:27:37

Question
My filly has a strong sire line and a so so dam line - do you have an opinion about whether or not a filly might lean towards the sire's strengths? She is a Prospector granddaughter (sire) and Mambo granddaughter(dam).  Can you tell me anything about Mambo? Thanks Ed!

Answer
hi -- well i think that the odds are 60% for the dam and 40% for the sire. when i would look to buy a 2 yr old ,i would always look at the dams produce record, to see how many foals made it to the races. i am not familiar with the horse mombo.but i am sure if you look on the internet on one of the horse racing sights, you can find some info on him .. hope this helps you  thanks ED HESS
