Public Sale of Thoroughbreds

Question
We are expecting our first foal this spring which we are wanting to sell commercially. My question is two part; how does someone find a consignor and when should someone begin this process? Thank you

Answer
Many times the farm foaling out your mare and raising your foal will be the best bet on consignor.  This is part of your boarding decision for the pregnant mare.  You want excellent horsemen and women, and ideally a strong consignment force at the sale.  Right now is a good time to move your mare if you have any concerns.
From the other question you posed about the five mares I can see you have a good plan beginning.  best of luck to you and feel free to contact me directly in the future.  Lora Brown, [email protected]
