Jogging and Running

2016/7/22 10:07:15

Question
I started running a couple of days ago.

I started running for approximately 20 minutes, with some interval training technique. I didn't feel that i pushed myself too hard.

I also started doing 15 minutes of strength training, consisting of Lunges Step ups with Hammer Curls, Tricep Push Ups with Plank and Knee Tucks.

I noticed yesterday that i had a strange pain in my right knee. Almost like the cartilage on both sides of my knee hurts.

When i walk it's fine... when i start jogging, it starts hurting.

I desperatley want to continue doing cardio exercise.

Answer
Hi Natali
With out knowing your bio and present and past history of training i feel your having some tracking and alignment issues which is causing your problem. My recommendation is to take care of this is to stop all the additional exercises your doing and start doing 40 minutes 4 times a week of stationary bike proper seat height high rev 60rpm med tension.Do this for 30days and then get back to me and let me know how it is working for you Natali.Any questions just Shout.

All the best

John
