Question
Hello, I am training for my first half-marathon. However my training partner and
I would like to make it a designation run. We are training in Kansas City and
would love to run the Rocky MT half in Denver. Are we crazy, or is it possible to
finish even with the altitude change? Any advice?

Answer
Hi Lindsey
Don't worry about a thing. The only thing is that you will just run a little slower than you would at sea level. You might think your running fast until you see your splits along the way.The best way is to just run how your feeling and stay in a comfortable rhythm.I would say if i was your coach just use the first 3 miles to work on the pace that feels really good and smooth and then just put it on cruise control to the finish.Any other questions just get in touch. You also want to make sure you start hydrating a few days ahead because it is very dry and water is 85% oxygen. You don't want to be dehydrated at the start.

Enjoy the journey
