Daisy Chain usage

2016/7/22 8:48:12

Question
I have been using tied webbing and runners for years on anchor points.  I always use at least two seperate anchor points.  Are daisy chains a safe alternative to all the webbing that I carry for use as an "adjustable" piece of webbing to which I may securly anchor a top rope or myself?

Answer
Jesse---I personally only use daisy chains for aid climbing, but I know a lot of people use them in sport climbing. I think that as long as you stress the chain along the long axis--and don't pull out of the threads (bar tacks) you should be OK.

Good Luck,

George Allen
