boom/mast attachment on older model wsf

Question
I was just given an older model Windsurfer board (WSF 32105 M82F)in decent shape, but i don't know if all the parts are there - specifically if there is a boom clamp. If it needs one where can i get one?
Also, does the M82F identify the year - i.e. 1982?

Thanks

Answer
Hey James,

I have no idea if the serial number has any reference to the year it was made. Although, 1982 would be a good guess as they were in the height of their manufacturing around that time. It was around the mid to late 80's that Windsurfer quit making boards.

As for the boom clamp, they were tie on booms back then. Clamp on booms didn't show up until around the 1990. If you are wanting to replace your boom head with a clamp on boom head, here is where to get one;

If you want to know how to attach a tie on boom, let me know and I'll send some instructions.

Hope this helps.
Keep on sailing,
