Question
i am 50 yr old female 5 ft 4 and weigh 145. i walk 5 miles in an hour and a half and have done this for 8 weeks but have only lost 4 pounds.
I am not dieting, but am watching what i eat. what is wrong? i wear size ten, but want to be in 8's.

Answer
Your weight loss does look a little slow. Some people gain muscle almost as fast as as they lose fat. You should have your body fat checked regularly to see if you are making progress there. After all, that is your real goal: losing fat, not muscle -- and you want to keep it off!

It may be frustrating, but you seem to be on the right track. Just give it more time to work. Slow weight loss is actually the best kind, as it is usually easier to maintain.
