Forward bilge pump

2016/7/16 9:27:34

Question
I am refurbishing a 1984 ser ray 245 cuddy crusier.  The forward bilge pump under the step going into the v-berth.  There was a old pump and swicth there but, no hose connection.  I have found in this area two discharge wholes, left and right.  I really don't know were to attach the new pump discharge hose to, left or right, they both have outside discharge ports.
What should I do?  Any other info on this boat will be greatly appricieted.

Thanks  GREG

Answer
Hi Greg

Thanks for selecting the undersigned to reply to your question.

Since there are 2 discharge ports, does it really matter which one you connect to the bilge pump? Could one be a drain for the anchor locker or shower? Have you traced where the existing hoses attach? You might consider emailing SeaRay and asking them for guidance. They're usually quite helpful.
