feeding a hyper thoroughbred

Question
I purchased a throughbred/QH in November and she is very hyper.  I need to know what not to feed her and the best diet for her.  She is a show/trail horse.  Mainly in a stall.

Answer
hi--- a nervous horse needs to be on a very plain diet, such as a basic low protien sweet feed ,say around 10%--11% . not many oats as they tend to produce lots of protien. a basic hay diet, no alfalpha hay too rich and plenty of tuen outs to mkeep them moving around. thanks ED HESS
